The Nāgasoline are the followers of Virūpākṣa (Pāli: Virūpakkha), one of many Four Heavenly Kings who guards the western direction. They act as guards on Mount Sumeru, guarding the dēvas of Trāyastriṃśa from assaults because of the asuras.
